Connecting International Web Customers to 800 Numbers

IDT Corporation announced that it has signed an agreement with 1-800-FLOWERS to integrate IDT’s Click2Talk application into its web sites, enabling users to speak through their computers to sales and customer service representatives on the telephone via the Internet. Click2Talk gives web users a live phone connection without the inconvenience of having to log off the Internet, while offering businesses the opportunity to enhance client relations by adding the human voice to customer interaction.

When a customer accesses the www.1800flowers.com order form for international services, for example, the Click2Talk icon appears right on the site. The customer clicks on the icon and the call is seamlessly routed over the Internet from the consumer’s PC to a live representative at 1-800-FLOWERS, giving the customer the opportunity to ask questions about specific products or policies. This alleviates any reservations that consumers may have about giving credit card or personal information over the Internet.

Because calls are routed over the Internet until they reach the U.S., international customers can reach toll-free numbers that are inaccessible through traditional long distance phone service.

Click2Talk works in conjunction with Net2Phone, IDT’s Internet telephony division, which has already routed over 50 million minutes of IP telephony phone calls. More information about Click2Talk is available at www.click2 talk.com, where users can test out the application, or by calling 888-872-1230.
