Web Miscellany
 | 39-percent of all Web Site purchases are actually made by customers simply browsing the
Internet/World Wide Web, looking for value-added information and service. |
 | Integrating a Web site into other company wide-operations such as order centers,
inventory, fulfillment, and customer service speeds up delivery of orders, and
enhances relationships with suppliers, distribution partners and customers. As a result,
some marketers have reported a 25 to 40-percent reduction in costs. |
 | 39-percent of 333 marketers surveyed said they conducted electronic transactions at
their web sites, 40-percent of those said they were making a profit from these
transactions, 40-percent said they are not and 15-percent gave no answer. In sum, of all
the marketers with web sites only 17-percent are making a profit. |
