This is an interesting way for a company to get their message across. OakNet Publishing
are offering free mailing lists, on their listserv server, to businesses and
organizations. The catch? Each message from your list will carry a small advertisement
from OakNet. The listserv can be used to do things like send out newsletters and automate
subscriptions requests.

A Seattle-based company has developed what it calls an intelligent shopping assistant
and you can try it out now on the Web site. Jango, as it is called, is available now in
beta, for Windows 95 and NT. You enter the name of the product or service you are looking
for and the software automatically searches for it online and prepares a report for you.
The report includes things like detailed product information, comparative reviews, product
pricing, and manufacturers specifications, say the makers.
