Computer-free e-mail via fax

Faxts Now>, the leading fax service company and MWT sponsor, has recently launched newmail.com, an e-mail to fax forwarding service. Subscribers to newmail.com can receive e-mail from anywhere in the world directly to any fax machine in the Continental U.S. with virtually no delay after receipt by newmail.com.

Newmail.com users do not need a computer to receive their messages. All that’s needed to use the service is the ability to receive faxes. Now businesses can add an e-mail address to advertising or correspondence and receive their e-mail without ever going on-line. The sender does nothing different and has no idea that his or her message arrives on a fax machine.

According to Art Jarvis, managing director of internet services at Faxts Now>, "Even though we developed this service for the millions of people who don’t have internet mail, we’ve found there are internet users who prefer to have their e-mail faxed to them."

Newmail.com gives "road warriors" a special benefit. A subscriber can change the destination fax number from any touch-tone phone 24 hours a day by calling newmail.com’s automated system, entering his or her account number and the new fax number. Newmail.com lets their e-mail follow people working from various locations from site to site.

The newmail.com service is $9.95 per month billed to a credit card and includes the first 50 pages; additional pages are 20 cents per page. There are no term commitments or set-up fees.
